Design a 2-color self-mailer for a company or organization. Select a company (from 3 options). Analyze the subject matter, distill information down to showcase important information, highlights, new developments, etc). Write a proposal indicating your redesign objectives/rationale. Create hierarchy of information. Study USPS mailing standards and inventive folding techniques. Develop concepts based on company look and feel. Determine how content is revealed as the viewer engages with the piece—try variety of folding options. Design grid structure. Develop typographic system. Develop cover concepts, review grid structure and cover concepts. Select a size and folding format that is appropriate to subject and meet USPS standards for mailing.
